You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From
3(x – 4) > 7x – 9
we get
3x - 12 > 7x - 9
Now subtract 3x from both sides and get
-12 > 4x - 9
Now add 9 to both sides and get
-3 > 4x
Now divide by 4
-3/4 > x
or
x < -3/4
Plot an open point at -3/4 and graph all points to the left...

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3(x – 4) > 7x – 9
x – 4 > (7/3)x – 3
(3/3)x - (7/3)x > -3 + 4
(-4/3)x > 1
x < -3/4
<======(-3/4)------>
