66 miles divide 55 by 5( for each inch) then add the difference to the original number of 55..:)

5 inches is to 55 miles as 6 inches is to x miles
In equation form this is
5 in./55 mi. = 6 in./x mi
Cross-multiply and solve for x:
55*6 = 5x -> x = 11*6 = 66
