Let the painting of one room = 1
:
t%2F8 + t%2F6 = 4(1)
multiply by 24
24*t%2F8 + 24*t%2F6 = 24(4)
Cancel the denominators, results:
3t + 4t = 96
7t = 96
t = 96%2F7
t = 13.7 hrs working together they can paint 4 rooms
