You can put this solution on YOUR website!
hi can you help me simplify this question.
square root 3 cos x - sin (x + 60) - sin (x+120)
..
Using sin addition formulas:
sin(x+y)=sinx cosy+cosx siny
sqrt(3)cosx-sin(x+60)-sin(x+120)
=sqrt(3)cosx-(sinx cos60+cosx sin60)-(sinx cos120+cosx sin120)
=sqrt(3)cosx-(sinx/2+(sqrt(3)/2)cosx)-(-sinx/2+(sqrt(3)/2)cosx)
=sqrt(3)cosx-sinx/2-(sqrt(3)/2)cosx+sinx/2-(sqrt(3)/2)cosx)
=sqrt(3)cosx-sqrt(3)/2)cosx-sqrt(3)/2)cosx
=sqrt(3)cosx-sqrt(3)cosx=0 (ans)
