What is the area of a rectangle where the diagonal = 10in and base = 6in 

using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the height of this rectangle

  h = sqrt%2810%5E2+-+6%5E2%29 = 8in

 Area(rectangle) = b*h = 6in*8in = 48 in^2
