SOLUTION: If the complement of an angle is 24° less than one-half of its supplement, find the measure of the angle This is what I' m doing: a + (1/2a-24)=180 2(a) + 2(1/2a-24)=180(2)

Question 423782: If the complement of an angle is 24° less than one-half of its supplement, find the measure of the angle
This is what I' m doing:
a + (1/2a-24)=180
2(a) + 2(1/2a-24)=180(2)
2a + a -48 = 360
3a = 360 +48
a= 136

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Let the angle =x
90-x = x/2 - 24
=> 90 + 24 = x + x/2
=> 3x/2 = 114
=> x = 76

so, angle = 76
