Question 423292: Solving a rational equation with an Extraneous solution, how would I solve this problem?
(2x+3)/(x-1)-2=(3x-1)/(4x-4) Answer by Gogonati(855) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve:
Multiply both sides with LCD 4*(x-1) with the condition x different from 1.
8x+12-8x+8=3x-1
21=3x Divide both sides by 3
x=7.
You can check if x=7 satisfy the equation.
