If this were a direct proportion the answer would be 64/36 * 7.4= 12.62, but this is a sqrt proportion, so we take the sqrt of 64=8 and divide it by the sqrt of 36=6 times 7.4,like so:
8/6 * 7.4 = 9.87 miles,a person 64 feet above the water can see.
