Hi
Gab can finish sewing 100 shirts in 15 days. Or 100/15 = 20/3 per day
He has been working for 3 days when he asked help from another tailor.
3*(20/3) 20 shirts done.
Let x represent the time it takes the other tailor solo
Question states*** Per day the Equalizer.
Gab solo would take 12 days for 80 shirts (20/3)/1 = 80/12) |time together for the 80 shirts left
Solving for x
x + 12 = 4x |multiplying thru with 12x so as all denominaotrs=1
12 = 3x
x = 4days, the time it would take the other tailor alone for "80 shirts"
For "100 shirts", it would take the other tailor 5 days.

1/12 + 1/4 = 1/12 + 3/12 = 4/12 = 1/3
