You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since the diameter is 4 ft, the radius is 4/2=2 ft. So r=2

V=pi%2Ar%5E2%2Ah Start with the volume of a cylinder formula.

V=pi%2A%282%29%5E2%2840%29 Plug in r=2 and h=40.

V=%283.14159265%29%282%29%5E2%2840%29 Replace pi with 3.14159265 (note: Use more digits of pi to get better accuracy).

V=%283.14159265%29%284%29%2840%29%29 Square 2 to get 4.

V=502.654824 Multiply 3.14159265, 4 and 40 to get 502.654824 (this value is approximate).

So the volume is approximately 502.654824 cubic ft.

I believe dia =4ft and height =40ft
vol = pi*r^2*h
=3.14*4^2*40
=2010.624 cu ft
