Question 421584: A line parallel to the graph of 11x=9y-6.
I used "m=y2-y1/x2-x1" to find slope of m=11/9, but am not sure is that is correct or do I need to find another parallel slope....Could you please show me how to find a parallel when no numbers are given...

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

11x=9y-6.
yes, m= 11/9 it is correct.
to find slope of a line use,
ax+by +c =0
slope = -(coefficient of x)/(coefficient of y)
= -a/b
so, write the equation in this form 11x-9y+6 =0
here, slope = 11/9
other parallel lines are 11x -9y + Z = 0
here Z is any real value..........
for example.....
11x -9y + 8 = 0
11x -9y - 9 = 0
11x -9y + 5/2 = 0 ans so on.........
