Question 421542: Can you please assist with this problem. I am unsure if I have the correct answer?
The owner of an appliance store uses a normal distribution with mean 10 and variance 9 to model the weekly net sales (in units of $1000). The owner needs $3500 a week to pay his staff. Determine the probability that the weekly net sales will not be enough to pay the whole of this amount.
Thank you so much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The owner of an appliance store uses a normal distribution with mean 10 and variance 9 to model the weekly net sales (in units of $1000). The owner needs $3500 a week to pay his staff. Determine the probability that the weekly net sales will not be enough to pay the whole of this amount.
-------
z(3500) = (3.5-10)/9 = -0.7778
-----
P(x < 3.5 thousand) = P(z < -0.7778) = 0.2184
-----
