Question 421467: factor completely
8x^4-64x^3+24x^2

You can put this solution on YOUR website! expression is:
8x^4-64x^3+24x^2
factor out an 8 to get:
8 * (x^4 - 8x^3 + 3x^2)
factor out an x^2 to get:
8 * x^2 * (x^2 - 8x + 3)
i don't believe this can be factored any more without resorting to the quadratic formula for deriving the roots of a quadratic equation.
i doubt they want you to go that far, but if they did, your answer would then be:
8 * x^2 * (x - 7.605551275) * (x - .394448725)
i would go with a solution of:
8 * x^2 * (x^2 - 8x + 3)
