Question 421002: What number between 500 and 600, inclusive, is divisible by 4 and 9? I am also not understanding the formula to figure this out. Have been going at this one question for 35 minutes... please help.

Number should be divisible by 4 and 9, it means number must be divisible by LCM of
these numbers, i.e 36.
so, firstly we find the smallest number which is greater than or equal to 500 and
divisible by 36, it is 504.
so, 504, 504 +36, ...........
now, numbers are 504, 540, 576.
so, required number = 3 .
here required numbers are few so find it very easily.
otherwise, you have to do some more task.........
