You can put this solution on YOUR website! First, you need to "even out" the decimals by adding zero's to the end of the decimal numbers. Add enough zeros to make all of the decimals end in the same place-value.
For example: Compare .2 and .35 and .103 and 1.04
The place-values are not even, so add zeros after each decimal:
0.2 = .200 (added two zeros)
0.35 = .350 (add one zero)
0.103 = OK
1.04 = 1.040 (add one zero)
.
Now, all three decimals end in the 1000th place-value.
Arrange in ascending (least to greatest) order:
0.103
0.200
0.350
1.040
.
The zero's are added to even out the decimals so that they will end in the same place-value. Once the decimals have the same place-value, arrange in ascending (or descending) order and compare.
.
1.192 = 1.1920 (added one zero)
1.092 = 1.0920 (added one zero)
0.1092 = OK
1.9 = 1.9000 (added three zero's)
.
Now, all of the decimals end in the 10,000th place value.
Arrange in ascending order (from least to greatest):
0.1092
1.0920
1.1920
1.9000
