Question 420067: http://www.learningbygrace.org/geom/images/geom_11.2.gif
Complete the following proofs:
If two angles form a linear pair, then they are supplementary.
Statement 1: Ang ABD and Ang DBC form a Linear Pair. Reason: Given
Statement 2: Ang ABD + Ang DBC = Ang ABC. Reason: Definition of ____.
Statement 3: Ang ABC = ___. Reason: Definition of a Straight Angle
Statement 4: Ang ABD + Ang DBC = 180. Reason: _____.
Statement 5: Ang ABD and Ang DBC are supplementary. Reason: Definition of ____.
Not all choices will be used, and some choices may be used more than once.
a) Supplementary Angles
b) Linear Pair
c) Substitution
d)180
I know that statement 1 is given and statement 3 is 180 degrees, but I'm confused about the others. I think #2 is Linear pair, #4 is Supplementary Angles, and #5 is Linear Pair. Help me please.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Statement 4 involves substituting angle ABC with ABD + DBC so I would put substitution. #5 definitely seems to be because of supplementary angles because the two angles add up to 180. I might put "linear pair" for statement 2 since ABC is linear.
