1, 2, 4, 5, 5, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 9
A five number summary is
[min, 1st quartile, median, 3rd quartile, max]
Our median is 7, 1st Q is 4, 3rd Q is 8, so get
[1, 4, 7, 8, 9] as our five-number summary.
