When a product AB+=+0 then either A+=+0 OR B+=+0.
When you have a quadratic_+expression+=+0, and can+factor it into two linear factors, then you have exactly that situation.
Then you simply need to solve two linear equations in place of the quadratic equation.
So if you can factor a quadratic as %283x-5%29%282x%2B1%29=0..it has the same form as AB+=+0 and so
either 3x-5%29=0%29%29%29+...%7B%7B%7B3x+%965+=+0 OR 2x+%2B+1+=+0
Solving each of these you get that either
x+=+%2B+5%2F3 OR x+=+-1%2F2
