The reason this is not already simplified is that sqrt%282%29 is waht is called an irrational number and simplified expressions do not have irrational numbers in denominators. (Irrational numbers in numerators are OK.)

So to simplify this we need to get rid of the square root in the denominators somehow. We can get rid of the square root in the denominator by multiplying both the numerator and the denominator by some number that turns the denominator into a a rational number, i.e. the square root of a prefect square. The easiest way to turn the denominator into a perfect square is to multiply it by itself:
