  A={17, 2, 3/11,  4,-9} 

  B={10, 6, -7/-4, 3,  0}

A-B= {7, -4,-65/44,1 ,-9}

the only difficult entry being: 3/11-(-7/-4) = 12/44 -77/44 = -65/44
