assuming that 8.2 means 8 multiplied by 2, then the answer is 1--> E.

Since, log to the base 2 of 16 is 4, ie 2^4 = 16. We then have:

4=8%2A2%5E%28-x%29

1%2F2+=+2%5E%28-x%29

1%2F2+=+1%2F%282%5Ex%29

by looking at these 2 halves of the equation, you can see that x=1.
