Question 418445: I am trying to solve 8/(t-8) + 8/(t+8) and having problems. I've come up with three different answers depending on how I do it. If I find the LCD as (t-8)(t+8) then I would get 8t-64+8t+64 which would equal 16t or t=-16. Is this correct? Please help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8%2F%28t-8%29+%2B+8%2F%28t%2B8%29
You can't solve for t here, it's not an equation (no equal sign)
You can just simplify it, which you did
you must retain the common denominator so you have
%2816t%29%2F%28%28t%2B8%29%28t-8%29%29 or %2816t%29%2F%28t%5E2-64%29
