Gill's puppy was growing fast. in the first 5 days since she got it, it had eaten 100dog biscuits. If each day it had eaten 6 more than the previous day,
How many biscuits had it eaten on the first day?
I's still conviced it 5 biscuits, while they say it should be 8 biscuits!

Let # on 1st day be "x"
Then 1st 5 days the # is x+(x+6)+(x+12)+(x+18)+(x+24) = 100

6x+(6+12+18+24) = 100
5x + (60) = 100
5x = 40
x = 8
