* The sum of two numbers is 135. Find the two numbers if the larger one is 9 less than twice the smaller?
I got to this point: smaller = x
larger = 2x-9
Now I need help with the rest.

sum of them is 135
x + 2x -9 = 135
=> 3x = 135 + 9
=> x = 144/3 = 48

so, numbers are 48 and 87 .
