What kind of angles? If you are talking about complementary/supplementary angles, you won't be able to go far, since a ping pong table is not much more than a rectangular table.

You could turn this into a physics problem involving the angular velocity of the ball. How much torque does the paddle apply on the ball during contact, causing the ball to spin? Maybe you can analyze different types of spin (e.g. overspin, sidespin, topspin, etc.) and their respective angular velocities/directions. These are quite useful when playing ping pong.
