Question 417306: Need some help to make sure I am doing this right.
Solve the system of equations by graphing.
Then classify the system as consistent or inconsistent and as dependent, or independent.
7x-8y=-48
8y-7x= 48
Thanks!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
7x-8y=-48
8y=7x+48
y=(7x/8)+6......1
8y-7x= 48
8y=7x+48
y=(7x/8)+6......2
Both lines are same.
If two lines have the same slope (ie are parallel) and the same y-intercept, they are actually the same exact line. In other words, systems have infinite solutions when the two lines are the same line!
