You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the ratio of boys to girls in the class was 3 to 2. if there were 12 boys. how many girls were there..... how do you do this?
---
3 to 2 is the same as 3x to 2x where 2x is the number of girls.
---
3x = 12 (# of boys)
So, x = 4
--
Then 2x = 8 (# of girls)
