1%2F%28x%2B1%29-1%2F%28x%2B2%29=1%2F2   |Multiplying thru  with  2(x+1)(x+2)

    2(x+2) - 2(x+1) = (x+1)(x+2)

    2x + 4 - 2x - 2 = x^2 + 3x + 2

      x^2 +3x = 0   |combining Like terms

factoring

     x(x+3) = 0

     x=0

    (x+3) = 0  x = -3

 1 -1/2 = 1/2

 1/-2  -1/-1 = -1/2 + 1 = 1/2
