You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1L=1000 mL
1 mL=0.001L
.
300mL=300*0.001L=0.3L
.
5mL=5*0.001L=0.005L
.
2L=2*1000mL=2000mL

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
remember: 1+Milliliter+=+0.001Liters......so multiply the number of ml by 0.001 to get liters

also, take note of the following!
1000+mL+=+1+Liter
so keep in mind the following principle when converting...
1000+mL+%2F+1+L+=+1+L+%2F+1000+mL
mL+%2F+L+=+L+%2F+mL
1+=+1

example:
for instance you have 3500+mL and you want to convert it to Liters, then
3500+mL+=xLiters
3500+mL+%2A+%281+Liter+%2F+1000+mL%29+=+xLiters
the labels "mL" will cancel out because they would just equal to 1,
3500+L+%2F+1000+=+x+Liter
Therefore x+=+3.5L

When converting Liters to mL, keep in mind the same principle.
since 1L=1000ml, you just multiply the number of liters by 1000....or this way
for example you have 5+Liters and you want to convert it to mL
5+L+=+x+mL
5+L+%2A+1000+mL+%2F+1+L=x
*cancel out the Liters and you are again left with just mL
5+%2A+1000+mL+=+x+
therefore, x+=+5000+mL

Hi
Think the problem people have is that many calculators only convert Liters to cm^3.
As 1ml = 1cm^3, one can use those calculators for ml conversions as well.
As to a Liter relating to cm^3 or mm^3 ... which You may encounter.
1 Liter = 1000 cm^3 by definition of a Liter (noting again 1ml = 1cm^3)
for ex.
2000. cm^3/1000 = 2L Note: can be found by moving deciaml point 'back' 3
1cm = 10mm, which is to say: each cm^3 = 1000mm^3
which in turn says: 1 Liter = 1,000,000 mm^3
Example:
2000mm^3/1,000,000 = .002L
Note: Conversion using this division Can be found by moving decimal point 'back'6 ..
2000. mm^3 'decimal point' back six places gives us the .002L
254mm^3 = .000254 L
