You can put this solution on YOUR website! -1/8x=-9/10
here we have to make x the subject: meaning that x should be on one side and the constants on the other side.
if you mulyiply the equation by 8
we get
-x= (-9*4)/5
-x= -36/5
/-1
x= 36/5
CHECK
You can put this solution on YOUR website! You can solve this by dividing -1/8 to each side of the equation:
x= (-9/10) / (-1/8 ) divide -1/8 to each side of the equation to make the coefficient of X become 1.
x= 36/5 when you divide a fraction, you actually multiply the reciprocal of the fraction. That is, (-9/10 )/(-1/8)=(-9/10)*(-8/1)=72/10=36/5.
