Question 415609: i have 3 problems to figure out. the first one is: 14-10+x<-x-8. i started to do 4+x<-x-8 then i was lost.
2. 1(1+7)-6(-7-x)<40-4 i got -1-7x+42-6x<40-4 then i did more and got -1+42-13<44, then 41-13x<44 and subtracted 41 from 41 and 44. im not sure if im right but that's how far i got.
3. -5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)>-4x-8x. i haven't got to that one yet because i have been to frustrated with the other 2 problems.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the first one is: 14-10+x<-x-8.
4+x < -x-8
2x < -12
x < -6
-----------------
2. 1(1+7)-6(-7-x)<40-4
1(8)+42+6x < 36
50 + 6x < 36
6x < -14
x < -7/3
--------------------
3. -5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)>-4x-8x
---
-5+25x-40x-19 > -12x
-15x-24 > -12x
-24 > 3x
x < -8

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the first one is: 14-10+x<-x-8.
14-10+x<-x-8.
4+x<-x-8
add -4
x<-x-8-4
x<-x-12
add +x
x+x<-x+x-12
2x<-12
/2
x<-6
....

2. 1(1+7)-6(-7-x)<40-4
8+42+6x<36
50+6x<36
add -50
6x<36-50
6x<-14
/6
x<-14/6
x<-7/3

-5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)>-4x-8x
-5+25x-40x-10>-4x-8x
-15-15x>-12x
add 12x
-15>-12x+15x
-15>3x
/3
-5>x
