Question 414977: how do you find the domain of the log function: log base 6 (7-7x)?
Answer by jsmallt9(3758) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Arguments of logarithms must be positive. So the domain of your function is the set of all x values that make the argument, 7-7x, positive. In other "words" the domain is the solution to:
7-7x > 0
So solve this inequality that the solution will describe the domain. (Hint: Either start by adding 7x to each side or remember the special rule for inequalities when multiplying or dividing by a negative number.)
