You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Plug x=1 and y=5 into both equations

Eq 1:

5x-2y=-5

5(1)-2(5)=-5

5-10=-5

-5=-5 .... checks out

Eq 2:

3x-7y=-32

3(1)-7(5)=-32

3-35=-32

-32=-32 .... checks out

Since both equations are true when we plugged x=1 and y=5, this means that (1,5) is the solution to the system.

So the answer is Yes.

Is (1,5) a solution of the system?
5x - 2y = -5
3x - 7y = -32

Substitute (1 in for x) and (5 in for y) into both equations.
If you get a true statement, then it is a solution for that equation.

5(1) - 2(5) = -5
5 - 10 = -5
-5 = -5
- works in first equation

3(1) - 7(5) = -32
3 - 35 = -32
-32 = -32
- works in second equation

Both equations yield true statements when you substitute in,
therefore it is a solution of the system.
