Let x and (2x-1) represent the width and length respectively

Question states***

 2(2x-1) + 2x = 70m

Solving for x

    6x = 72

     x = 12m, the width.  The length is  23m.   (2*12-1)



CHECKING our Answer***

     24m + 46m = 70m
