When you draw the diagonal of a square, you obtain two isosceles-right triangles. Take one of these triangles; the diagonal is the hypotenuse of this triangle and the other sides of the triangle are 7 ft. So if we write the pythogorean theorem for this triangle;
diagonal^2=7^2+7^2
diagonal^2=49+49
diagonal^2=98 find the sqrt of oth sides;
diagonal = 9.9 ft
