This is 2 equations and 2 unknowns, so it's solvable
Substitute (1) into (2)
(2) L+%2B+2+=+%281%2F2%29%2A%28L+%2B+24+%2B+2%29
(2) 2%2A%28L+%2B+2%29+=+L+%2B+26
(2) 2L+%2B+4++=+L+%2B+26
(2) L+=+22
