(17+x)~2+X~2=25~2 OR 289+34X+X~2+X~2=625 OR 2X~2+34X-336 OR X~2+17x-168=0 or
(x+24)(x-7)=0 or x=-24 & x=7 answer is 7 cm
proof 7*7+24*24=625 or 49+576=625 or 625=625
