Question 411922: Please help, I am lost.
1: The parent function for the graph is of the form y=(ab)^x
Write the parent function. 2 Points are (0,6) and (1,2)
Write a function for the translation right 4 units and up 2 units.
2: Write the expression as a single logarithm: 5log[b]q + 2log[b]y (where [] indicates the base of)
THANKS!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1: The parent function for the graph is of the form y=(ab)^x
Write the parent function.
2 Points are (0,6) and (1,2)
----
Substitute and solve the system for a and b:
Using (0,6) you would get 6 = (ab)^0
6 = 1
That is a contradiction.
Check your problem statement.
-----------------------------------
Write a function for the translation right 4 units and up 2 units.
y = (ab)^(x-4)+2
-----------------------
2: Write the expression as a single logarithm:
5log[b]q + 2log[b]y (where [] indicates the base of)
-----
logb[q^5] + logb[y^2]
---
= logb[q^6*y^2]
