SOLUTION: Q. a plane is flying at 375 MPH with a tailwind of 25, how long does it take it to go 700 miles. 700= (375+25)t t=1.75 Ok great, now I am asked to GRAPH d(t)=rt with r substituted

Question 411405: Q. a plane is flying at 375 MPH with a tailwind of 25, how long does it take it to go 700 miles. 700= (375+25)t t=1.75
Ok great, now I am asked to GRAPH d(t)=rt with r substituted with a constant. I get a horizontal line. Is this correct?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
t = 1.75 hours is correct.
-------------
To graph d(t) = 400t, make d the "vertical" axis, usually y, and t the horizontal.
It won't be horizontal, because d increases with time.
