:
Let n = niece's age when you are 3 times her age
then
(n+14) = your age at that time
:
n + 14 = 3n
14 = 3n - n
14 = 2n
n = 14%2F2
n = 7 yrs old is the niece
and you are:
7 + 14 = 21 yrs old, (which is 3 time your niece's age)
