+6%2F%28y-2%29%2B7%2F%28y-8%29=%28y-1%29%2F%28y-8%29 |multiplying thru with (y-2)(y-8) 

  6(y-8) + 7(y-2) = (y-1)(y-2)

   13y -62 = y^2 - 3y + 2

    y^2 -16y + 64 = 0

 factoring

   (y-8)(y-8)= 0

    (y-8)=0

    (y-8)= 0  y = -8
