Let the larger number = b
given:
(1) b+-+a+=+15
(2) 5a+=+2b+-+9
------------
(1) b+=+15+%2B+a
substitute this in (2)
(2) 5a+=+2%2A%2815+%2B+a%29+-+9
(2) 5a+=+30+%2B+2a+-+9
(2) 3a+=+21
(2) a+=+7
and
b+=+15+%2B+a
b+=+22
the numbers are 7 and 22
