Question 409215: Show that when the polynomial P(x)=ax^3+bx^2+cx+d is evaluated using synthetic division when x=k, the result is P(k)=ak^3+bk^2+ck+d. Answer by richard1234(7193) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I don't understand why you need synthetic division to prove this...simply replace x = k into your equation for P(x) to obtain P(k) = ak^3 + bx^2 + cx + d.
