Question states*** CENTS makes sense

 25x + 10(60-x) = 945 CENTS

Solving for x

       15x = 345

         x = 23, number of quarters. 37 dimes.  (6-23)

 25*23 + 10*37 = 575 + 370 = 945 or $9.45
