Note: to do so, will do allowable steps to isolate x on one side of the equation!
x = 5*(2-x)+ 1 |Applying the Distributive Principle
x = 10 - 5x + 1 |combining Like terms (adding 5x to both sides of equation)
6x = 11 |divide both sides of the equation by 6 to 'finish'
x = 11/6
