So 45 = 5x3x3 or 45 = 3x3x5. You'll also see it as
Notice 2 goes into 78. So 78 = 2x39 (divide 78 by 2 to get 39). Now factor 39 into 3x13. So 78 = 2x3x13. Now we're done because every factor is a prime factor.
