Question 407007: A bag contains 9 pennies, 8 nickels and 5 dimes. How many quarters should be added to make the probablilty of drawing a dime 1/6? Answer by ewatrrr(24785) (Show Source):
Hi
A bag contains 9 pennies, 8 nickels and 5 dimes: 22 coins total
5/30 = 1/6
22 + 8 = 30
8 quarters would give the needed 30 coin total
P(dime) = 5/30 = 1/6
