 What is the probability of selecting a card >9 or a black card?

 5 in each suit >9 (10,jack,queen,king,ace)

 P(>9 'or' black) = P(> 9) + P(black) - P(both >9 and black) 

 P(>9 'or' black) = 20/52 + 26/52 - 10/52 = 36/50
