You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If m varies directly as n and inversly as o, and m=20 when n=50 and o=10, find m when n=96 and o=16.
m= kn/o
Need to find "k"
20=k(50)/10
k=4
Equation: m = 4n/o
Now find m when n=96 and o=16.
m=4(96)/16
m=4(6)= 24

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
m is proportional to +%28n%2Fo%29+, so that +m+=+k%28n%2Fo%29+, where k is a constant, to be found.

Given that m=20, n=50, o=10 then we have
+m+=+k%28n%2Fo%29+
+20+=+k%2850%2F10%29+
+20+=+5k+
--> k = 20/5
--> k = 4

So, +m+=+%28%284n%29%2Fo%29+

Hence, when n=96 and o=16 we get:
+m+=+%28%284%2A96%29%2F16%29+
+m+=+%28%2896%29%2F4%29+
+m+=+24+
