 Finding the quotient using long division:

     3x^2 + (-7x) +   4,    R = 1

      __________________________

2x+3 |   6x^3    -5x^2   -13x +13

      - (6x^3 +  9x^2)

       ---------------

                -14x^2 -  13x

             - (-14x^2 -  21x))

                --------------

                           8x + 13

                      - (  8x + 12)
